About Us

The Board and Governance

The voluntary BID Board is made up of individuals from the Ripon city region’s business community who represent all Ripon BID businesses in terms of sector, size and location. They each bring individual expertise and specialist knowledge to help ensure the BID’s activity delivers against the business plan. The Board meets every month to discuss and make decisions on BID activity. BID Board members sign a code of conduct and are asked to declare any conflict of interest at each Board meeting.

The governance structure and rules for the election of directors can be found at point 50 onwards of the BIDs Articles of Association (pages 24-25).

Ripon BID follows The BID Foundation Industry Standards: TBF Industry Standards. If the Ripon BID manager is unable to answer a query from a BID business, that business is encouraged to contact the BID Board member that represents their sector. If you are a Ripon BID business and are interested in in joining the board, please email info@riponbid.co.uk.
