Nominations for Community Giving

Each year in the Skipton Building Society Ripon branch, we ask for nominations of  local Charities, that could benefit from our scheme with the chance to win prizes

Prizes up to £1000, second prize £600 and third prize £400, the voting for the shortlisted charities takes place later in the year. This is just the first stage to get as many nominations as possible. 

Nominations can be made until the 19^th June.

Starting on Monday 7th September for a 4 week period, anyone visiting the branch can vote for their favourite charity from the three chosen charities. The three chosen charities will be announced on the start date. The charity with the most votes will receive a cash donation of £1000, followed by £600 for the runner up and a final £400 for the remaining good cause. Voting will close on the 2nd October 2026 at 4.30pm.

We’re expecting a lot of nominations, which is why each branch has a scoring system where preference for which charities will be the three selected is given to small, registered charities operating in the local area. Nominated will be subject to due diligence checks before any nomination is progressed.

You may nominate more than one charity. Charities will not be selected based on the number of nominations. Please do not provide any personal information on the form, we will not require any further information from you. All correspondence will be made directly with the charity if chosen. The chosen charities will be contacted by phone or email ahead of the start date to confirm their acceptance to be part of the scheme.
