Would you like to volunteer at a Ride the Dales refreshment stop at Littlethorpe Village Hall?

Action Medical Research is a UK-wide charity fighting for little lives through funding research to help sick babies and children. We have helped develop the polio and meningitis vaccine, the ultrasound for use in pregnancy and many more breakthroughs. The event is a charity cycling sportive, taking place on Sunday 2nd June with approx. 300 riders taking part.

We’re currently looking for volunteers to support the event at our refreshment stop on the route, at Littlethorpe Village Hall, Littlethorpe, Ripon. Time wise we would be looking at support from 10am to 4pm (or any hours within this that people are available). The role would be helping to set up the venue with support from the Action team, ensuring entrance banners are displayed, greeting riders, setting out & ensuring a food table is stocked at all times and making hot drinks for riders as required.

You don’t need to be a cyclist or need any cycling experience to be a volunteer, we welcome anyone who wants to make a difference and support our charity. We also offer to cover reasonable travel expenses and provide full briefing ahead of the event, and hi-vis branded tabards to wear on the day.

All volunteers are fully supported, briefed and in contact with our Event Control based at the event venue (Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate YO26 9SS), so you will always be in good hands. Full event details can be found here RIDE The Dales | Cycling in Yorkshire | Action Medical Research
