Ripon’s windows and shop fronts will be decorated this half term lighting up the city in two campaigns, Spooky Windows Competition and Window Wanderland

Ripon is set to get a little spookier this October half term as shops, cafés and businesses across the city unveil their Spooky Window Competition display.

Expect a colourful mix of pumpkins, cobwebs and eerie surprises, designed to delight families, visitors and residents.

Voting is quick and easy: scan the QR code on the posters and participating windows, and you’ll be entered into our prize draw to win vouchers for local businesses and the winning business window will receive free local advertising.

Light it up for Ripon After Dark – Window Wanderland

This half term, Ripon will also host its first Window Wanderland festival, celebrating local stories, wildlife and heritage through illuminated window displays.

Ripon After Dark is about bringing people together, celebrating our city’s character, and creating moments of wonder for everyone who wanders the trail. Whether you create a simple glowing silhouette or a full window installation, every contribution helps light up Ripon.

Anyone can join in, including businesses, households and artists. Displays can use recycled materials and found objects. Ripon BID has registered with Window Wanderland to provide access to toolkits, maps and promotional resources.  Contact us for details info@riponbid.co.uk
