The Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park, situated near Grewelthorpe in North Yorkshire, will host its first dedicated family fun Dog Day with organisers from Positively Canine on Sunday 14^th September 2025.

Celebrating the bond between owners and their dogs, while raising awareness and funds for the essential work of the Lost Dog Tracking organisation.

Across the day, visitors and their canine companions will be treated to a range of ‘have-a-go’ activities designed for fun and enrichment, including:

• Gun Dog Scurry – test your dog’s retrieval skills and speed
• Hoopers Agility – a low-impact obstacle challenge for dogs of all ages and sizes
• Scent Work – where dogs can show off their incredible noses
• Fun Dog Areana – join in the competitions and win prizes

A key focus of the day will be highlighting the vital contribution of The Lost Dog Tracking Organisation, whose volunteers train and work to help reunite missing dogs with their owners across the county. Representatives from the organisation will be present to share their inspiring work and the training involved to be part of the team.

Alongside the action, visitors will discover a Dog Wellness Zone, offering advice to help keep pets fit, healthy and happy and meet the teams from AquaPaws Hydrotherapy from Northallerton, Herriot Veterinary Physiotherapy and ‘Vet Friend’. For a spot of retail therapy, a variety of trade stands will be onsite selling dog-related merchandise, treats and other pet related products with a roving pet photographer on hand to capture those special moments.

Normal garden entry applies 10am – 4pm
