Heritage Open Days – The Lay Brothers Dormitories

Visit a hidden part of the ruins at Fountains Abbey – learn more about the life of the Lay Brothers who lived and worked on the estate.

Discover how the lay brothers were an essential part of abbey life from our knowledgeable guides whilst taking in the ruins from a different point of view.

Ticket holders receive free access to Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, including our cafes and shop selling handmade goods and local produce.
Meet your tour guide in the Abbey Nave. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your time slot. There’ll be plenty of time for a photo opportunity!

Timings & Tours: Tuesday 10 September: 11.15am, 12.15pm, 2.15pm, 3.15pm
