EXCLUSIVE Rejoicing in Ripon: BIG BITES Ripon has just got a whole lot larger

🍔✨ Ripon’s leisure and hospitality sectors have been boosted with news of openings reported by Tim Flanagan of the Rejoicing in Ripon Blog — and this morning he has got his teeth into yet another exclusive story 📰👀

He was invited by Alex and Natalie Sutcliffe, owners of BIG BITES, to be the first to report on their relocation to stylish new premises in Queen Street, where their operation has grown four‑fold overnight, with a commensurate increase in the food and drink items they are selling.

Alex told Tim:
“By popular demand from our growing customer base, we’ve moved a few doors down from the small, cramped outlet that we had in Market Square East and will now be able to realise our full potential in spacious new surroundings.”

The relocated and new‑look BIG BITES on Queen Street also incorporates Sutty’s Grub – a brand that caters for motorcycle enthusiasts 🏍️🔥

Harley Davidson owner Alex pointed out:
“We knew that we had outgrown our previous premises because our customers were having to queue in the street.
Following negotiations with Sterne Properties Limited, we agreed a deal in April and here we are now with four times the space, a large indoor seating area with tables and benches and an increased range of food, drink and other goods on sale.”

In addition to selling the famously large hot and cold sandwiches that gave the business its name, the BIG BITES offer includes gluten‑free options, take‑home‑and‑cook meal deals, savoury and sweet pies and pastries – all sourced from local suppliers 🥪🥧🌾  BIG BITES also offer an early morning meal deal at £4 available until 8:30am and a Blue Light and Military Personnel discount of 10% on all items except meal deals.

Ripon BID manager Lilla Bathurst said:
“The BIG BITES expansion comes hot on the heels of the opening of health food and drink café and wine bar Sustain, located at the Marshall Way entrance to HALLS of Ripon, where the newly illuminated medieval well is attracting a great deal of attention 💡💧
Add to this the three‑screen cinema in Fishergate, which award‑winning operators John Tate and John Hewitt are aiming to open on November 27, and it’s fair to say that Ripon is on a roll in more ways than one!”

Lilla pointed out:
“The community of independent businesses that make our city so special all benefit from the millions of pounds invested in Ripon by local companies and individuals, as each opening, expansion and refurbishment brings increased consumer choice and contributes to the overall offer provided by the Cathedral City of the Dales 🌟🏙️”

BIG BITES will be open from 7.30am to 3pm Monday to Saturday and from 8am until 2pm on Sundays.
