Ripon City Litter Pickers: Litter Pick Completed!

What a brilliant start! 👏

Our first Ripon City Litter Pickers session took place today, 26th February 2026, and this fantastic team — including military veterans and led by our very own Ripon Hornblower, Adrian Mardon 🎺 — hit the ground running. Armed with grabbers, bags, and plenty of enthusiasm 💪🗑️, they helped make the entry points to our city cleaner, greener, and even more welcoming. 🌱✨

A huge thank you to everyone who turned up, braved the February chill ❄️, and showed that fantastic Ripon community spirit. ❤️

Every piece of litter picked is a win for Ripon — and there’ll be more opportunities to get involved soon. 👀
Today, Ripon City Litter Pickers collected 25 bags of litter along the northern section of the bypass. Incredible effort! 💼➡️🗑️

Proudly supported by Ripon BID. 💛

Ripon City Litter Pickers aim to add to the great work already done by the Rotary Club of Ripon Rowels, Ripon YMCA, and many other brilliant groups who help keep our city looking its best. 🌟🏙️

With thanks to Jess at North Yorkshire Council for her support in providing equipment and getting the bags collected.
