Rejoicing in Ripon: The lights – Fantastic!

🎶There was dancing and singing on Market Square as one of the largest gatherings on record in Ripon ushered in the city’s New Year🎉.

A focal point of the festive season was the illuminated Ripon sign, lit by thousands of white and gold LED lights and captured on cameras and mobile phones 📸📱 in images shared locally, nationally and internationally by a whole host of people, from far 🌍 and near. ✨🕯️

As the centrepiece of this year’s fantastic city-wide decorations🎄🌟, the sign put Ripon’s name firmly on the 2025 Christmas map for tourists and day trippers and there is the promise of more to come as Ripon City Council works alongside local stakeholders to promote all aspects of the Ripon offer.

We will keep you posted, so please watch this space for news of further developments 👀✨.
